Welcome to The Lake Erie Hutch, your home away from home! If you are searching for the perfect beach vacation spot, your search is over. Located in the heart of Port Clinton and the Lake Erie Islands, this Cape Cod style cottage encompasses everything you would expect in a lakeview home. You will be very close to the Jet Express to enjoy a day of Island hopping and fun! Less than 2 minutes from the ferry as well as downtown Port Clinton for live weekend music and festivals throughout the summer.
Entering the home, you are greeted with a large open floor plan, with tall ceilings, premium furnishings and bright airy windows offering lake views. There is a spacious well-equipped Kitchen and dining room seating for 4. Off to one side of the Dining Room are Bedrooms 1 and 2 with Queen sized beds. The upstairs Cape Cod style room is where bedroom 3 is located, with a double sized bed and two twin sized beds that can be joined to make a large king sized bed. You can also use the upstairs bedroom as an all kids room.
From the Sunroom you can get a great view of the park and lake. 4 doors down from the public beach access in Port Clinton with everyone’s beach side enjoyment. The sandy bottom and gradual sloping water depth allow for some of the best swimming in the area. Cedar Point is about 19 miles away making this location great for a day at the park. This house is the perfect place to sit under the stars with a cocktail while catching glimpses of shooting stars. This house can also be rented with the house next door to sleep up to 16 total guests for a total of 6 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Please send an inquiry about booking both homes together.

Summary: Me and some friends stayed at the Beach Hut for our fishing trip and really enjoyed the home. House was clean and orderly when we arrived, rooms were comfortable, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here for our next trip.

Summary: This home was perfect for us. Directly across the street was one of the nicest parks I have ever been to. There was so much for kids of all ages. Connected to that park is access to the beach which we enjoyed. The home itself is beautiful and charming. The neighborhood is quiet and on a one-way street. There is plenty of parking. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft all to themselves. You are minutes from the Jet Express and about 20 min from Miller's Ferry. You are very close to downtown Port Clinton with a ton of entertainment as well as anything in the Lakeside Marblehead area. We will be saving this spot for future trips!

Summary: The Beach Hutch is an awesome property. The house was lovely. It’s quite well suited to two families sharing it with the effectively divided living spaces. The proximity of the park and the beach was fantastic for our kindergarten age children and our dog. One parent could slip over to the park as though it was the front yard of the house and play with the kids at any time to keep them occupied when they were becoming restless. The beach was but a few steps farther. Nice and shallow, great beach for kids!! Hosts were fantastic to work with! We will definitely rent this one again!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at this Port Clinton home. There was a fun playground right outside the front door. The house was very clean and roomy. The beach is a short walking distance away. The week we were there it was not open for swimming, but I understand it is usually fine. Other beaches were within a short drive. We liked the patio with the fire pit. It would be better if there was a larger table in the kitchen.
